The AEGNT Token is the native token of the ÆGENTS ecosystem, designed to power the platform's economy and incentivize participation. A total of 1 billion ÆGNT tokens were minted at launch, ensuring a fixed supply. The token operates on the Base blockchain, with the contract address .
The AEGNT token contract uses the industry-standard OpenZeppelin ERC20 implementation, which has been audited extensively to ensure its security and reliability. As such, the contract poses no security risks, providing users with confidence in its integrity. AEGNT tokens are used for governance, staking, and other utility purposes within the ÆGENTS ecosystem.
50% Public Supply: Public supply, with .
25% Creator Fund: Allocated to support creators, distributed via a over ~1 year (0.5% released weekly)
25% Burned: After evaluating how many tokens the Creator Fund needs to complete all 3 phases outlined in the roadmap, the remainder was . Beyond this, the primary funding source for teams and developers will be income generated by agents.
The AEGNT token serves as collateral for the launch of new ÆGENTS. Each new agent deployment is paired with AEGNT tokens in Uniswap V2 liquidity pools, effectively locking those tokens as part of the process. As the ÆGENTS ecosystem grows and more agents are launched, an increasing number of AEGNT tokens will be locked in these pools, reinforcing the token’s utility and driving its scarcity within the ecosystem.
AEGNT tokens play a key role in the Aegent ecosystem. Here’s how they’re used:
1. Governance and Voting
Governance via Snapshot.org lets AEGNT holders vote on Aegent Improvement Proposals (AEIPs). This gives the community a say in decisions about the project’s development and direction.
2. Pairing for Deployed Agents
When new agents are launched, AEGNT tokens are used for liquidity pairing. This liquidity is burned, which helps maintain token value. Plus, there’s a buy-back mechanism for launches and agents that supports long-term demand.
3. Fundraising for Launches
AEGNT will become the main currency for fundraising in future launches. For now, the first few launches are using ETH, but this will shift to AEGNT as the ecosystem grows.
