An agent launch is the process of funding and deploying new agents in the ÆGENTS ecosystem. It allows contributors to support an agent by sending cryptocurrency to a launch wallet and, in return, receive a proportional share of the agent’s tokens. This ensures a decentralized and fair way to fund agents, involving the community directly.
FAQs
What is a launch campaign?
A launch campaign is the period during which new agents can raise funding to support their development and deployment. It’s an essential step in bringing an agent to life within the AEGENTS ecosystem.
Can I send ETH from my Coinbase/CEX account?
No, do not do this. Sending ETH from a centralized exchange (CEX) like Coinbase will lead to loss of funds, including both ETH and tokens. Always use a personal wallet that you control.
How long do campaigns take?
All new agent launch campaigns currently run for a fixed duration of 24 hours.
What happens after 24 hours?
If the target is met (or exceeded):
The funding is deemed successful.
Participants receive agent tokens airdropped directly to their wallets. The number of tokens is proportional to the amount they contributed divided by the total funding amount.
If the target is not met:
The campaign is canceled.
All wallets are refunded their ETH (minus a small fee).
What are the funding targets?
Currently, the funding targets are:
1 ETH on the Base blockchain
10 SOL on the Solana blockchain
Can I buy/sell the agent tokens after the agent launch completes?
Yes, if the launch reaches its target, the agent will be deployed as a tradable token, which can be bought and sold on platforms like Uniswap.
What are the funding currencies?
At the moment, funding is conducted in ETH. In the future, we plan to exclusively use AEGNT as the funding currency, expanding the token’s utility within the ecosystem.
Can I send ETH multiple times?
Yes, all your contributions will be added up. You will receive tokens proportionally to the total contributions, regardless of how many times you send ETH.
Can I use multiple wallets?
Yes, you can use as many wallets as you want. Blockchains are permissionless by design.
Is there a funding cap?
No, there is no funding cap. However, there is a funding target that must be reached for the agent to be deployed.
If the target is not reached, the launch is canceled, and the raised funds are returned (minus a small fee).
If the target is exceeded, the additional funds are accepted, and agent tokens are distributed proportionally. For example, if the target is 1 ETH but the campaign raises 5 ETH, tokens will be distributed in proportion to each participant’s contribution compared to the total amount raised.
Can I send ETH directly to the launch wallet, or do I need to use the frontend?
You can send ETH directly from your wallet of choice or use our frontend. Using the frontend provides a confirming notification, but it is not mandatory. Just find the launch wallet address in the campaign details, copy it, and send ETH to it.
Do I get a confirmation that I am participating?
If you use the frontend, you will receive a confirmation notification. If you send ETH directly, your successful transaction confirms your participation.
Why should I participate in the launch, vs buying on Uniswap directly?
Participating in the launch allows you to secure tokens earlier than others, potentially at a better value.
What can I use the tokens for?
It’s up to the agent deployers to come up with use cases. Common use cases include charging for agent outputs and services.
Can I send ETH from a contract?
Your contract must be able to handle return transfers of ETH (in case of a launch refund) and ERC20 tokens (in case of agent deployment). While this is possible, we do not recommend it due to the complexity involved.
Can I use another network to send ETH to the launch wallet?
No, only ETH on the Base blockchain is currently accepted.
Can I send any other currency to the launch wallet?
No, only ETH is accepted for now. Later, we will transition to funding via AEGNT tokens.
Does everyone buy at the same price, or is it on a bonding curve (where earlier buyers get a better price)? During the launch, all contributors buy at the same price, determined by the total contributions. The final token price is calculated at the end of the campaign based on the total amount raised. After the agent is deployed, the token price is determined by the Uniswap AMM formula, which adjusts based on supply and demand.
Is there a fee for the campaign?
Yes, a small fee is applied:
Approximately 1% of the raised amount.
If the funding target is exceeded, the fee becomes proportionally smaller.
Is it a fair launch?
Yes, the launch campaigns are designed to be completely fair:
No front-running: All participants have an equal opportunity to contribute.
No whitelists: Anyone can participate.
Fixed-time crowdsale: The campaign lasts for 24 hours, and participants can send as much ETH as they want within that time.
What is the minimum/maximum amount?
There is no minimum or maximum amount. You can contribute as much or as little as you like.
How much of the token supply will be airdropped?
50% of the tokens will be airdropped to launch participants proportionally to their contributions. The other 50% will be added to the liquidity pool (liquidity will be burned).
Should I wait until the end of the launch? We don't recommend this. The timing of your ETH contribution during the 24-hour launch does not affect your proportional share of tokens. However, if your transaction is sent after the campaign expiry and arrives late, you will not receive a refund or tokens. It's best to contribute earlier within the launch window to avoid this risk.
Examples
1. Unsuccessful Launch
Launch Target: 1 ETH Funds Raised: 0.75 ETH Outcome:
The campaign failed to meet its funding target of 1 ETH within the 24-hour window.
The launch was canceled, and all contributors were refunded their ETH (minus a small fee).
No tokens were issued, and the agent was not deployed.
2. Target Launch
Launch Target: 1 ETH Funds Raised: 1 ETH Outcome:
The campaign successfully met its funding target of 1 ETH within the 24-hour window.
Contributors received their share of tokens proportionally to their contributions. For example, if someone contributed 0.1 ETH, they received 10% of the total distributed tokens. Total distributed tokens amount to 50% of the agent token supply.
The remaining 50% of tokens were added to a liquidity pool.
The agent was successfully deployed and became available for trading on platforms like Uniswap.
3. Successful Launch
Launch Target: 1 ETH Funds Raised: 5 ETH Outcome:
The campaign greatly exceeded its funding target of 1 ETH, raising 5 ETH within the 24-hour period.
Contributors received tokens proportionally to their contributions. For example, someone contributing 1 ETH received 20% of the total distributed tokens (since 1/5 = 20%).
The remaining 50% of tokens were added to a liquidity pool.
The agent was successfully deployed and became available for trading on platforms like Uniswap.
Launch/Agent Tokenomics
Launch Tokenomics
During the launch of a new agent, the funding is used as follows:
10% of the funds are sent to the agent’s wallet to support its initial operations, including:
Paying for credits
Facilitating transfers
Utilizing AI models
10% is allocated to AEGNT buybacks and burns, reducing the token supply.
80% of the funds are added as liquidity to the Uniswap pool. The liquidity provider (LP) tokens are burned.
Agent Tokenomics
Once an agent is operational, a 1.5% buy/sell tax applies to all transactions of its tokens. This tax is distributed as follows:
25% for agent funding to support its continued operations.
25% for AEGNT buybacks and burns, reducing supply and enhancing token value.
50% for adding to liquidity pools, supporting token stability.
0% to the agent deployer as a reward for creating and deploying the agent.
Customizable Tokenomics
The above allocations apply to the initial agents. For future agents, these values can be adjusted by the deployers during the launch process, allowing for flexibility to meet specific project requirements while maintaining transparency.
